FOR CHIEF EXECUTIVES AND BOARDS

THE SCALING VERIFICATION

Answers carry optimism. Records do not. We read yours against the four conditions of scale, and give you a written verdict seven working days after your evidence is complete.

Answers are not evidence

The free Scaling Readiness Check captures what you believe. The Verification tests whether your records agree, at the point where the answer has to be right: a funding round, a hiring wave, a new market, a board decision with a date on it.

We read your evidence against the four conditions that determine whether growth holds: durability, repeatability, compounding and absorbable pace. One question sits under all four. Does the evidence support what the company believes about itself?

What it is

An assessment of your records against a fixed written standard, conducted by Mark Ward. Each condition receives a finding in plain words. There are no marks anywhere in the deliverable.

The weakest of the four caps the verdict, because the conditions multiply rather than add. Naming that ceiling is most of what you are buying.

There is no improvement plan and no re-measure date. Those belong to the Scaling Baseline. There is no benchmarking either: your records are read against your own company, never against an average.

How it runs

A thirty-minute call first, to establish the decision, which entity we would read, and whether your systems hold the records. Not every entity qualifies, and you are told before you sign rather than after.

On signature you receive the evidence request: twelve records your systems already hold, from revenue by customer by year to this year’s growth target with the working that sat behind it. Nothing is built for us, and a record that does not exist is a finding rather than a failure. Most companies assemble the pack in one to two days across two or three people. You have ten working days.

Receipt is confirmed within one working day and anything missing is named at once. If too little arrives to read, the date moves.

Seven working days from a complete pack to the written verdict. The walkthrough call follows within a further five.

What you receive

A written Verdict Note carrying one of three verdicts: Scale Up, First Optimise or Scale Back.

Beneath it, each condition read against your evidence, every material gap named with why it matters, and anywhere the records contradict the answers. Where a condition reads weak because nothing measures it, the Note says so before it says anything else.

When it is not the right reading

Records your systems cannot produce? We say so on the first call, before you pay.

A decision larger than your own records can settle? Choose the Scaling Diagnostic. No third party may rely on a Verdict Note.

Who it is for, and what it costs

Chief executives and boards of business-to-business technology, software and tech-enabled services companies between £10m and £250m in revenue, with a dated growth decision ahead.

£9,500 plus VAT, fixed, payable on signature, never discounted. The full fee credits against the initial fee of a Scaling Baseline whose letter is signed within ninety days of your Verdict Note.

The standard comes from a study of 182 business-to-business technology companies: 76 verified scaling failures set against 106 that scaled and held.

Your records are used only for this engagement, held securely, and deleted afterwards.

Next step

Tell us the decision in front of you and the date on it. If this is the right reading you will be told so, and if it is not you will be told that instead.

Thirty minutes. Three questions. A reply within one working day.

Market and Proposition Build

Where to compete now, and as we scale through a new vector, whom to serve and why they will buy: settled on evidence, not conviction.

Revenue System Build

A sales system capable people can run, so winning stops depending on the efforts of founders or superstars.

Customer Value and Expansion Strategy

The post-sale system that turns a signed contract into value delivered, revenue retained and accounts that grow.

Commercial Intelligence

The process, data and technology that let the company see itself truthfully, and the governance that makes it act on what it sees.

Pricing and Value Realisation

The pricing architecture, execution protocols, and commercial controls that convert delivered value into revenue and margin that hold.

Commercial Transformation

The flagship. When the failure is systemic, we rebuild the commercial and revenue system end to end and carry the change through.
